Wordless Wednesday: She's grown up!

She's goin' away for to stay a little while,
But she's comin' back if she goes ten thousand miles.
Oh, who will tie her shoes?
And who will glove her hands?
And who will kiss her ruby lips when she is gone?
Look away, look away, look away over Yonder...

Godspeed, my sweet niece. Can't wait to see where this adventure takes you!

Wordless Wednesday: Her name is Rosie

Isn't she a cutie?! She joined our family last Monday when a coworker of Chris' found her at the dumpsters near their school. We're not certain what breed she is...possibly Beagle! She's a sweet girl and we're working on house training her!

Wordless Wednesday: My church

I love my church. My dad was the pastor here when I was born. I was baptized here, and have always had a special place in my heart for this church, even when we were moved around our Conference. I'm very blessed with an amazing church family! Just thought I'd share somewhere that I feel as comfortable as I do in my own home!

Wordless Wednesday: Graduate

Though we have already 'walked' in our graduation ceremony, we still had to finish two classes before receiving our diplomas. I have two papers to finish and one class meeting to attend, and I will have completed my Master's Degree in Reading! I'm very proud of all I've accomplished, especially when we threw lil Robbie's growing and birth in there! Thanks be to God!

Wordless Wednesday--Because there ARE no words

I have to go to a funeral today for a dear friend and family member. She was killed in a car accident early Sunday morning. August was only 30 years old, and had her whole life ahead of her. She left behind many family members and friends who loved her dearly, but most importantly, left behind two precious children who will have to grow up with out a Mommy.

Please remember August's family members and friends in your prayers, esp. those who will be attending her services tonight. My father will assist with the service and my sister is singing as part of the trio she sings with at our church.

I'm heartbroken and anxious today. In a few minutes I go back to the school where I last saw her on Friday, and where her children attend. Given my already emotional hormonal state, this is not going to be easy.

I love you, Augie, and miss you so much.

Wordless Wednesday--30 Years Ago

I'm the little one in the dress, flanked by my sisters and oldest sister's roommate. Today she (the blonde) takes her oldest to college. How time flies! Please remember them in your prayers!

Wordless Wednesday--Crooked House

This house stood across the street from the school where my husband attended elementary school, which was also the school where my mom taught at the time. I had recently shared that mom was his teacher in Kindergarten! I am now going to be teaching there 2 days a week. Pretty cool, huh?

This house has since been torn down and a cabin is sitting there. But seeing this pic recently on Chris' cousin's facebook pics brought back memories, so I thought I'd share!

Wordless Wednesday--Fun on the Slide

These were taken by my sister at our church's Freedom Celebration on Sunday. It was the first time in 7 years that we had to hold it indoors, but it still went well! As you can see, the boys definitely had fun!

Wordless Wednesday--Adam on the beach

Adam is such a ham....he has on his Daddy's hat here! We had a great vacation last week, and the boys LOVED the ocean! I have a feeling it won't be 5 more years before we go again!

I found this blog that has absolutely beautiful prints! I wish that these prints were available to buy cause they're gorgeous! Please go check out the other paintings. By the way, this is my home away from home, the college I attended for undergrad and am now attending for grad school as well.

Wordless Wednesday--The Awesome Foursome plus!

We were buddies back in the day...middle school days, that is! We had a picnic at the park on the last day of 8th grade, and even took pics to prove it! Twenty two (could that be right?!) years later, we got together with our kids once again.

Thanks to Julie's hubby's great photog skillz for the pic!

Wordless Wednesday--He graduates today

I can't believe it. I was there when he was born...and have watched him grow, and it has gone by so quickly! I'm so proud of him, and so pleased with this young man he's become. I'm praying that he continues to excell and finds happiness in his every endeavor!

I love you, Ked! Congrats!

Wordless Wednesday--Check out those legs!

Another pic by my friend Rindi! My oldest nephew, who was one when I was a '1st year student' at my alma mater, now getting ready to be a '1st year student' there himself! I'm thrilled for him! I was on campus for class last night and really got excited for him just knowing how awesome spring is there!!

Wordless Wednesday--A Force in Blue

This is the first year that our high school has had soccer as a school sport. I think people have been amazed at what they've done! They're a force to be reckoned with! Here's a great shot by my friend Rindi of my nephew Logan
