An age old question....

that just has to be asked.......














do you call those bugs that light up and fly around at twilight this time of year lightning bugs or fireflies? Inquiring minds want to know!!!

Us plain folk call 'em lightnin' bugs.

Fireflies sound more romantic and fancy..but we's jes plain ol' folks here 'bouts!

I reckon fireflies wouldn't be near as comfy in an old mayo jar. They'd likely want fancier digs. :)

fireflies here - don't know why, but it is what everyone around here calls them!

We call them fireflies but if you ask my kids they will call them glow bugs. LOL
